The neighborhood of Albion, New Jersey, is located within the Winslow Township in Camden County but claims a Berlin address. The Berlin post office is situated two miles from the neighborhood. The closest post office in the Winslow Township is 5.6 miles away in Sicklerville. The Berlin-Cross Key Road creates the western border, separating it from Pine Valley.

History of the Albion Volunteer Fire Co.

In 1920 the Albion School was built, located on the main roadway Berlin-Cross Keys Road. It would later become the Albion Bible Church.

Although the origin of Albion's name is not known, the Albion Volunteer Fire Co.'s history does offer some information on its history. On May 19, 1960, the Ladies Auxiliary met in the Albion School to discuss the Albion Volunteer Fire Co organization. They elected Robert C. Madden as the president.

The initial location of the department was in a private garage and consisted of just one piece of equipment purchased that year. The site of the Fire Hall would break ground on October 30, 1960. The celebration for the building dedication took place on September 16, 1962. The Winslow Township established a fire reporting number in 1972.

A fire rescue truck was purchased from Barrington Fire Company in 1975. Uniforms would be bought in 1976, and in 1985 the station would be expanded with the addition of two bays.

Neighborhood
