The coastal city is located in Atlantic County, New Jersey. The town takes up 17.21 square miles, of which 6.45 square miles is water. Aside from the main coast being on the Atlantic Ocean, some other waterfront areas connect to Lakes Bay, Absecon Bay, Great Thorofare, and Mankiller Bay, to name a few.
