The unincorporated community is located in the center of Winslow Township in Camden County, New Jersey. Chesilhurst is to the west of the area, and Braddock is to its south. History

The neighborhood is part of the county's largest municipality that covers 58 square miles or 37,120 acres. The Winslow Township was named after William Coffin Sr.'s son, Edward Winslow Coffin. William Coffin Sr. was the owner of the 19th-century glass factory that resided in Camden County. The township was incorporated in 1845 and is comprised of twenty unincorporated communities, such as:
