The unincorporated community is situated in Monroe Township in Gloucester County, New Jersey. Williamstown is to its south and Turnersville to the north. Tuckahoe Road runs north and south through the heart of the neighborhood along with Main Street. The Atlantic City Expressway is on the outer eastern border. 

History

Originally the area belonged in the Washington Township and was part of Camden County. It was not until 1871 that it shifted over to Gloucester County. In 1959 it was formally recognized as the Monroe Township, named after President James Monroe. Monroe was the United States' fifth President that served from 1817 to 1825 and was considered one of the country's founding fathers. 

Neighborhood

The area is home to many shopping and retail plazas. Cross Keys Place is located on Tuckahoe Road and offers some of the following vendors:

The average household income was $66,761 in 2010, an increase from $56,810 in 2000. The occupational breakdown of the employed residents is the following:
