East Vineland is an unincorporated community within the Township of Buena Vista in the western section of Atlantic County, New Jersey. The elevation of the community is 105 feet. The area was finally incorporated in the Buena Vista Township in Atlantic County on March 5, 1867. Many of the early settlements in the area were near Deep Run in the area of Pancoast Mill. The neighborhood, along with Milmay and Richland, were farms that grew the following crops:

The Pinelands is a natural land reserve that covers seven counties and includes 53 towns in the state of New Jersey. The largest underground water supply on the east coast, called the Kirkwood-Cohansey aquifer, is under the reserve.
The East Vineland Volunteer Fire Co. was established in 1926. A group of farmers realized the area needed fire protection for the farming neighborhood, especially due to their potatoes hotbeds that had a tendency to catch fire. Josephine Benero donated the land the firehouse was built on.
The area is home to the Slavic Evangelical Baptist Church that was founded in 1992 by Symon Kerusenko, Ilya Babenko, Stanislav Stetsenko, Viktor Nechay, and Aleksandr Boyarsky. They offer Russian language classes to the community in addition to the teen, women, and young adults Bible study.
