Hurffville

The unincorporated community of Hurffville is located in the Washington Township in the eastern region of Gloucester County, New Jersey. The town's center lies at the intersection of Sewell Road and Delsea Drive. Bethel Run and Porch Branch flow through the southern section of the community. Neighboring towns include Salina, Sewell, Turnersville, and Cross Keys.

Early History

The neighborhood was named after one of the early settlers, the Hurff family. The generations of Hurff were traced back to descendants of Johannes Balthaser Harff, from Germany. 

The community is home to one of the oldest schools in the township, Hurffville Elementary School. The school was constructed in 1957 in the style of an open campus. The grade levels were separated into different buildings. Each building had open walkways between them with a cover to protect them from rain. Initially, the school served grades kindergarten to sixth, but as the attendance increased, they reduced it to just second through fifth. 

Neighborhood

The community residents have several athletic and recreational places to enjoy. Legends Ballpark was established in 2016 and is located on Sewell Road. It offers its guest the following amenities:
