The unincorporated community of Ashland is a census-designated place (CDP) within the township of Cherry Hill. It sits in the northern section of Camden County, New Jersey. The CDP takes up 1,868.16 acres, including 19% or 3.2 acres of water, such as Cooper River. The neighboring communities include Coffins Corner, Echelon, Willowdale, Somerdale, Lawnside, and Glendale.
The early residents of the area made up the Osage Tribe. They were part of the Midwest Sioux.
