Lodi

The borough of Lodi is located in the southern region of Bergen County in the state of New Jersey. The 1,465.6-acre neighborhood has an elevation of 30 feet. It is just south of Maywood and north of Hasbrouck Heights. Teterboro is to the east, and Garfield is to the west. Saddle River flows up its western region. 

History

Early settlements included the Tappan, Hackensack, and Rumachenanck Native American Tribes. The Dutch entered the area in the 17th century, followed by the English that gained control in 1664. 

In 1894, the area was incorporated as a borough taking land from what is now South Hackensack and Saddle Brook. It was named after the town in Italy.
