The borough of Pine Hill is situated in southern Camden County within the state of New Jersey. The 2,528-acre neighborhood has points of elevation that reach 174 feet. The borough is south of Clementon and Pine Valley and north of Erial. Blackwood and Turnersville are to the west of the town, just past Little Mill Road. The borough was named after the terrain and trees in the area and was formed as a borough in 1929. It took land from the now-defunct Clementon Township. It was called Mont Ararat and Clementon Heights before being named Pine Hill.
The Mayor and Council for the Borough of Pine Hill held their first meeting in an old schoolhouse located on 6th Avenue on June 5, 1929. They issued an ordinance that required all the residents in the borough to remove any trees from the streets, or they would be fined.
The town is home to the Trump National Golf Club Philadelphia, located off of West Branch Avenue. The course was originally the Pine Hill Golf Club that was built on the former site of Ski Mountain before being purchased and renamed by the Trump Organization in 2009. The course, designed by Tom Fazio, is 6,969 yards. The clubhouse sits on a 209-foot hill and allows views of the neighboring state's skyline as well as a panoramic view of the town and landscape.
